Amtrak passengers can now connect to free Wi-Fi on trains traveling through the Midwest. Amtrak’s official network system called AmtrakConnect operates uses various cellular providers under contracts with the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Missouri. This brings the Wi-Fi coverage to approximately 85 percent of passengers across the national network.
