A multi-vehicle accident on the Eisenhower Expressway early Sunday has resulted in an exit ramp being closed, State Police said. The accident happened shortly after midnight at Austin Boulevard on the eastbound Eisenhower Expressway (I-290). An Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper said as of about 12:40 a.m. it was a multi-vehicle crash, and at least three vehicles were being towed from the scene. He said "a bunch" of State Police units were at the scene. There were injuries, but none believed to be life-threatening, the trooper said. As of about 12:40 a.m. the Austin exit ramp on the eastbound Ike was shut down, according to the trooper.
