Man dies after crashing into South Side viaduct

A 36-year-old man died after his Lincoln Towncar crashed into a viaduct this morning on Chicago's Southwest Side, police said.
At about 3 a.m., police responded to calls of a crash at a viaduct near the intersections of Pershing Road and Western Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
When police arrived, they found the victim unresponsive, Alfaro said.No one else was in the car.
The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Alfaro said. The victim has not been identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The Chicago Police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
