One person was killed and four others were hurt following a traffic crash late this morning on Chicago's West Side.
Four of the victims were transported to hospitals in serious-to-critical condition. Three were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and the fourth to Stroger Hospital, according to a Fire Department spokesman. The fifth victim was taken in good condition to Loretto Hospital.
Although a Cook County medical examiner's office spokeswoman confirmed there was a fatality in the crash, it's unclear at what hospital the victim was pronounced dead.
The crash happened about 11:40 a.m. at Washington Boulevard and Kostner Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
